From Two Pieces of Fabric
Every great journey begins with a small step. Royal Penny began with just two pieces of fabric, a sewing machine, and an unwavering belief that dreams can become reality through hard work and determination.
In 2021, I moved from India to Canada in search of a better future. Like many newcomers, I worked different jobs while adjusting to a new country and a new way of life. The journey was not easy. I faced health challenges, financial struggles, and many moments of uncertainty. Yet, I refused to let those obstacles define my future.
With only $50, I purchased two pieces of loose suit fabric. I stitched them with love, care, and passion, then sold both suits for $100. Those two suits were more than my first sale—they were the beginning of Royal Penny.
I started by setting up a small stall at Gurudwara Gursagar Mastuana Sahib in Surrey, British Columbia. The encouragement and trust I received from the sangat and visitors gave me the confidence to continue. Many of the people who supported me in those early days became my loyal customers, and their belief in my work helped transform a simple idea into a growing brand.
Today, Royal Penny creates customized clothing that celebrates every individual's unique style. From elegant traditional wear to modern Western fashion and beautifully crafted Indo-Western designs, every garment is thoughtfully designed and tailored to reflect the personality of the person wearing it.
